Naked and afraid

Wall Street legend Warren Buffett once famously quipped…

“Only when the tide goes out do you discover who's been swimming naked.”

Which means:

When the economy’s going good and the fungolas are flowing, a business can get away with being a little “relaxed” about things. Doesn’t matter much if you’re not on your A-game.

But when the worm inevitably turns, and the economy suddenly ain’t so hawt… then you quickly find out who came to the beach prepared, and who did not.

And I think Mr Buffett’s saying applies to many pet businesses, too.

After all…

The pet industry has enjoyed a historic run over the past decade. Unprecedented growth.

But, as you probably noticed last year… it’s over. There’s a huge amount of competition, and many pet businesses are struggling to make an impact.

i.e. The tide’s gone out.

And if you’re feeling a little naked?

Then don’t worry.

I got you. I packed an extra swimsuit.

That “swimsuit” is my first podcast episode. Because it’s with none other than Pamela Keniston, the owner of the award-winning agency ‘Big Paws Marketing’.

And I got her to reveal how she's multiplying her clients’ bottom lines, no matter what the economy is doing.

In this inaugural episode, you’ll discover:

➤ Is email outdated? Not at all. Here's how you can use email to escape the social media algorithm trap and own your own audience...

➤ The 2 pet brands Pamela actively looks for in her email inbox, and why you might want to copy what they're doing...

➤ The unlikely way Pamela multiplied the results of a pet brand's ad campaign by 7x (Almost no one is doing this, but you'll slap your head at how "obvious" it is.)

Lots of actionable stuff in there for the worried pet business owner.
